It use to be, pick up a rock through a headlight and it meant a quick trip down to the local auto parts place, pick up a new sealed beam light and in minutes the car was as good as new. NOT ANY MORE!

If a rock hits one of the headlights on your new 2001, it means a trip to your local Mazda dealer, order a new headlight assembly, (wait a few days because they don't carry them in stock) then pay the nice person behind the counter over $230 for the new lens.

But now, thanks to modern technology, you can protect those expensive headlights with a new plastic that will make your headlights almost bullet proof. These 1/16 inch thick plastic shields are very tough, and best of all, virtually invisible when installed. These are not like the Plexiglas covers you may have seen elsewhere. Even on close inspection of the lens it is very hard to tell they are installed.

At $45 a set - it is an inexpensive safeguard for your headlights and probably much less than the deductible on your insurance.

Special Note Owner with Headlight Frames.
Due to the obvious shape differences on the headlights (actually a plastic frame around the headlights, giving the appearance of 3 separate lens) these headlight savers will not fit.

Installation Information

	Plastic savers are pre-cut to fix Miata headlights.
	Install at a temperature of 65 degrees or higher.

	Important - Thoroughly clean headlight surface to a Squeaky clean. Sometimes some wax may be on the edges of the light. Make sure all wax is removed, otherwise the saver may not stick around its edges.
	Remove backing from plastic protector.
	Apply to warm headlight.
	Allow adhesive to set at least 72 hours before washing car.
	No drilling! No Glues! No Fuss!
	Can be removed if necessary. (But not reused)
	Often after being installed properly you will see hundreds of micro bubbles or crazing under the surface. Don't worry - after the headlights are exposed to a warm sunny day those bubbles will disappear in 24 to 72 hours.
