Our luggage rack is made by Classic-Carriers. One of the primary features of
Classic-Carriers luggage carriers is that no drilling in the trunk lid is required to install
these low-profile carriers and is easily owner-installed.
Construction and Design

The luggage carriers are constructed of chromed tubing with
hand-brazed joints to provide maximum strength with a clean
appearance. The chroming meets the highest standard possible for
outdoor use, ASTM 9, and is warranted (with normal use and
maintenance) against corrosion for three years. The trunk-lid
mounting strips and fasteners are stainless steel.

The rubber cushioning strips that provide metal-to-paint
protection are of hypoallergenic "neutral" rubber with no
sulfur or additives to effect the clear-coat or the paint finish of
the trunk.

The installation of the carriers does NOT require the drilling of
holes, thus not affecting paint or corrosion warranties.

The carrier is designed to be installed in either the
"traditional" manner with the "fence" toward the
rear, or with the "fence" forward to provide additional
protection during front-end collision, with the load on the carrier.

Six integrated belt loops permit the use of most types of tie-down
belts for even the bulkiest of luggage.
|
Through optimal pressure distribution on the trunk lid, the
carrying capacity permitted is 75 lbs (or 35Kg max).
