The designers at Mazda are pretty good. They managed to create
a darn good roadster. Engine, suspension, handling - all great. And the M2
(1999+) models are even better than the original. But while these guys were out on
the tracks fine tuning the Miata, they missed a few little details. We won't
even get started about the poorest excuse for a cup holder ever seen in a modern
car (the 2001 is a bit of an improvement), but what about that "trunk light" that only works when the
headlights are on. Give us a break guys!
Well there is always room for improvement even on the best
cars, so we are offering a kit that turns the license plate/trunk light into a truly
useful trunk light. One that DOESN'T have to have the headlights on for you to
see what is in your trunk at night.
This kit doesn't add a light to your Miata, but instead
takes the perfectly good set of existing lights and makes them useful.

Almost all aftermarket alarm systems offer Remote Keyless Entry Systems activated
through the alarm system. If your car has one of these added and you want
to add the Trunk View, use TM-285 and NOT the Trunk View below. We have
installed the TM-285 in our Miatas that have Clifford Alarm Remote Keyless

Note for '01 owners - The standard Trunk View cannot be installed
with the factory remote keyless entry system that is standard on the '01 LS
package - The good news is that the kit that works with the Remote
Keyless
Entry has an extra part, but requires NO drilling making it a bit
easier to install. This also applies to any 2001 that has the Remote Keyless
Entry as an option even if not an LS. If your Miata in NOT a 2001 LS and
has an aftermarket Keyless system installed use TM-285. |
