The Hard Dog Sport uses the same design as the Hard Bar,
but with the addition of larger bolt-in main loop mounting plates and two rear braces that bolt in.

Additional diagonal and/or harness bar (and leather cover) can be added at the time of order.

Double Diagonal

Key Features

Does not interfere with convertible top operation.
Allows for complete use of hard top.
Fits full height and width of the interior.
Is the tallest design available.
Allows for full use of driver and passenger seat travel and tilt.
Constructed of high quality 1020 DOM tubing (1 1/2 diameter by .120 wall) with 3/16 inch mounting and backup plates.
Standard powder coated semi-flat black finish. Polished Stainless Steel available.
Complete installation instructions sheet included along with all other hardware needed.
Design approved by Car Guys (with optional main hoop diagonal).

Need to cut some of the sheet metal for the back braces.
The plastic panels covering the seat belt towers must be trimmed. See below

Tools Needed:
16mm (or 5/8 socket) wrench 2 - 9/16 wrenches
10 mm wrench or deep socket, Phillips head screwdriver, Tin snips (to trim panels), T-40 Torx Drive 6 pt., Drill & long 3/8" drill bit, Jack and Jack Stands, 3/4" Hole Saw (some ABS cars)

Hard Dog Sport

The Hard Dog Sport Roll Bar for the 1999-2005 Miata

The Hard Dog Sport for the 1999-2005 has some special considerations.
The Sport Bar interferes a bit with the wind blocker. You can either trim about 2 inches off both ends of the blocker or place addition mounting holes for the blocker and move it forward a bit. Another option is to leave the blocker in either the up or down position all the time.

Delivery
Note - Because of the many different models of Hard Dog roll bars, they are shipped directly from the factory per your order. Expect at least 2 to 6 weeks for delivery (Leather covered bars may take longer).

Covers/Wraps - If ordered at the same time as the roll bar, will have the cover partially installed. The padding will be installed and the wrap itself will not be attached, this is to avoid them being damaged in shipment.
